New Dawn Enterprises is currently seeking a passionate, experienced and professional individual to fill the position of Administrator of our New Dawn Guest Home/New Dawn Home Living companies.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Healthcare Division, this management position has 24-hour accountability for the health and performance of our employees and contracted caregivers, as well as providing high quality care for all residents housed in our 30-bed Level One Residential Care facility and in our seven small-option homes, all licensed by the Department of Community Services.
Key areas of responsibility include resident care and resident program planning; policy and procedure development; human resource planning; and overseeing the day-to-day operations within our homes. In addition to ensuring compliance with all Department of Community Services licensing requirements, we require a leader to adhere to all established policies and procedures and ensure alignment with the mission, vision and values of New Dawn Enterprises.

- Minimum of five (5) years management experience;
- Compassion, empathy and experience working with and advocating for persons with disabilities;
- Experience working in a Residential Care Facility/Smalls Option Home setting;
- Experience in budget development, strategic planning and financial management;
- Post-secondary education in business or healthcare is an asset;
- Experience working in a unionized environment-interpreting, understanding and managing under a collective agreement; and
- People-oriented leadership style and a history of developing a cohesive team and generating strong collaboration within an organization.

New Dawn Guest Home: A caring, welcoming environment is the hallmark of New Dawn Guest Home, a 30-bed, Level One, residential care facility providing personalized and professional care in a bright, comfortable setting for people with a variety of disabilities in partnership with the Department of Community Services.
New Dawn Guest Home Limited was established in 1977 when a residential care home in Whitney Pier was facing closure. New Dawn Enterprises Limited purchased the facility to ensure that residential care would continue to be available to the community.
In 1993, residents of the Guest Home were moved to a new building in Pine Tree Park in Whitney Pier where it currently resides today.
The quality of life of our residents is the driving factor of the dedication of New Dawn Guest Home staff. Every effort is made to plan for and attend to the physical, emotional and social needs of the residents and to create a positive family atmosphere.
New Dawn Home Living: Through this small options program in partnership with the Department of Community Services, caregivers (and their families) are contracted by New Dawn Home Living to look after one to three people with mental, physical, or emotional challenges. These caregivers care for individuals in duplex units managed by New Dawn Enterprises at Pine Tree Park Estates in Whitney Pier.
Home Living Limited was established by New Dawn in 1991 when it refurbished a number of duplex units, each accommodating three tenants on one side and their care-giving family on the other. Home Living provides individuals living with disabilities the security of 24-hour care that includes meal preparation, medication management, basic personal care and housekeeping as well as attention to health and personal needs by a trained caregiver.
